Again, what was the point of this video? You obviously took action for aga and have a full head of hair, calcification and fibrosis are the aftermath of DHT mechanism which you’ve probably addressed in your treatment since you follow the “common wisdom” about aga treatments. Also I see dudes “debunking” calcification and fibrosis thing by saying “Yo I’m an old dude with full head of hair but my scalp is tight” Which is again has no point since scalp elasticity depends on person to person. Lower body fat means mostly less elastic of a scalp when higher body fat levels cause your scalp to get more elastic. Again if you are not experiencing the aga cascade, you will still have enough room between skull and papilla cells absorbing the “tension” no matter how tight your scalp is. But even if you have the most elastic or hard rock scalp ever if hair loss mechanism starts you will experience calcification which will push the tissue away from the capillary system making the tissue less welcoming for terminal hair growth, also it’ll cause tension on that area which makes it worse. Also fibrosis (scar tissue) will appear in varying degrees which I think you know it’s impossible to grow terminal hairs on scar tissue. I think both the anectodal claims of yours and other people’s “debunking” the galea theory holds no water whatsoever. Aga is a complex problem starting from biochemical processes to physical changes and remodelling of the tissue making scalp less of a friendly area for terminal hair growth, I believe it’s a planned tissue death obviously causing papilla cells to not function properly therefore hair loss is inevitable. Both the common wisdom that DHT binds and shrinks hair follicles and hair falls out due less elastic scalps are both very shallow theories and by themselves they are not effective enough to start the hair regrowth process fully and how it’s supposed to be. Both of them are very far away than what we are looking for as a treatment which addresses nearly if not all the biochemical and physical changes happening on scalp tissue and papilla cells. In the end of the day I think this video is greatly affected and biased by the current DHT theory which is laughably oversimplified and it lacks the deepness of this complex problem cascade happening inside of the balding scalps.

Why does minoxidil work? Seems like follicles are sometimes not getting enough blood circulation.

I’m a hair cutter. Lol I’ve been cutting guys hair for a long time. Touched a lot of heads. Your body fat is what determines the flexibility of you scalp. Most men with low body fat have a super tight scalp, and high body fat have moveable scalp. I have a lot of hair, and my scalp is really stiff. Im not super skinny, but I won’t ever lose my hair. But at the same time, most men with bald heads have a very tight scalp, but I think there’s something they’re linking the collagen in the skin with the proteins in your hair. Collagen determines flexibility, but who know? It’s all proteins/ amino acids.

What do u think about the skullexpansion theory ?Looks like a big majorty of balding men have round and big heads it would make some sense ?Or does The skull look larger due to lack of hair ?Intressting subject to talk about .My opinion is If u find The root to The cause of a problem it is easier to find a solution so what can be Done to receding hairline ?

So is it beneficial for men to have some levels of estrogen for preventing hair loss like in the same way that women have some levels of testosterone?

What I've heard about this theory is that because of gravity the scalp doesn't get much blood flow. So massaging the scalp and making it more flexible brings blood flow. Part of the theory is that the scalp calcifies and so regularly massaging it and stimulating it prevents the calcification. Who knows if it's true but I massage my head for like 2 minutes throughout the day and just make sure it's flexible and feels stimulated. Have a full head of hair but only time will tell.

have you tried topical finasteride, and if so, what do you think? Rubbing one´s head for an hour a day seems like it might make a bald spot, I would guess!

The most flexible part of my scalp is my crown, which is where I have the most thinning. From what I understand, baldness is caused by collagen deposition/thickening of the skin on the scalp. Drugs like minoxidil work by reducing collagen synthesis locally (and systemically to some extent), which prevents the scalp from thickening and squeezing out the hair follicle. I'm pretty sure there has been at least one study where they found that balding/bald men have more collagen in their scalp than men without balding, but I don't know to what extent skin flexibility relates.
